well, I made it back to Taylor safely last night at around 11:30pm...we were planning on getting back at around 7 to Taylor but my flight to Atlanta was an hour late and I ended up missing my next flight by only about 10 minutes! So I hung out in the Atlanta airport for my new next flight for the next 5 hours, lol! I finished two books and read 20 chapters of Psalms, had a chai, and 2 bread sticks and tried some free samples at Bath and Body works, and got way beyond my fill of people watching. It was so good to finally get out of there! I was running low on cell phone batteries so I couldn't call anyone and just talk for fun, or play games on my cell phone -- that was a bummer! Then when I got back I had to work with my partner on a presentation I had to give this morning in my literature class at 9am, so I was up 'til like 3am. And I heard it snowed 8 inches today! in Washington. I watched part of a football game today while I was working out because the Seahawks were playing! And I've never before cared about them until this day. I was actually emotional attachted to the game. It was snowing on the field too :)

Well, what to say, I'm getting slightly homesick. :) We got almost everything moved into our dorm. I've been meeting LOTS of people. Too many "nice to meet you'"s. But so far it's been mighty fun and mighty confusing getting all oriented. I miss my friends though!! :( My roommate is pretty funny and we are opposite in a lot of ways, just like in the way we are but we get along and can talk to each other easily, it's really great. Classes start on Tuesday. I would post pictures but I forgot the cord that connect my camera to the computer :(. I really can't wait 'til I actually KNOW people, not just their names. Ivory, I miss you!!! I put pictures of you up and the one of us making faces, it's wonderful. I think I'll call you now, bye!

Everything is really really nice and good quality and not ugly. The website is http://www.layersclothing.net/marika/. I'm pyched! I like it so much...it's all really cute, but modest at the same time..and comfy..and not ridiculously expensive...Hopefully I will be able to make lots of $$ at college :)..

Saturday, May 20, 2006

I had a dream last night. I was sitting somewhere and a guy came up with this golden retriver. I started petting it and rubbing it and saying how cute it was and then the guy starts breaking out in a song from Mary Poppins. I think the song was "Chim-Chimeney Chim-Chimeney Chim Chim Sharoo" but I'm not sure...anyway he started making a parody of it, changing the words to stuff about his dog...and it sounded incrediblely good! It was like my dream became a musical right there. He was very musically talented, and he started tap dancing around and everything...I wondered, "who is this guy!" Then, next scene I was with Chelsea and Heather from work and the guy, and Chelsea was organizing for the four of us to go on tour singing these songs and dancing around. We had already ordered these little green masks for us to wear while we were performing and everything. She was trying to get Mr. Gledhill to sign our feildtrip forms, lol. But Mr. Gledhill was in a bad mood and just said, "You really need to stop doing everything so last minute, I can't sign this!" So we were really bummed, and Chelsea was furious...so we just sat around and thought to ourselves, "Dang, the audience is really gonna miss out.." ...and that was it :) It was a very fun dream!

Out in the Fields with God
by Anonymous
The little cares that fretted me
I lost them yesterday
Among the fields, above the sea,
Among the winds at play,
Among the lowing of the herds,
The rustling of the trees,
Among the singing of the birds,
The humming of the bees.
The foolish fears of what might happen,
I cast them all away,
Among the clover-scented grass,
Among the new-mown hay,
Among the husking of the corn,
Where drowsy poppies nod,
Where ill thoughts die and good are born--
Out in the fields with God.

I thank Steve for this game.
Well, Megan and I just came back early from our shopping day. It seems someone succeeded in poisoning Megan through those cinnamon rolls this morning! Poor girl. They sure were killer cinnamon rolls though I guess, lol.

Just got over with bible study on Colossians. Had an interesting discussion about...do we need the bible? The arguement is, Paul and the other apostles didn't have the New Testament (before it was written) when they were filled with the Holy Spirit and thousands were saved each day. So why do we need it today?
Well, we kind of decided the answer is...we need it today for correction. We read it, and it either confirms the way we are already living our lives...or it lets us know we need to make a change. Christ in you is the most important thing, and the New Testament shouldn't just be more Law.
I think some people have been led to believe that studing and memorizing the bible will solve their problems. A chapter a day keeps Satan away?? but really...it's only Jesus the person that can bring reconciliation to God.

here's a line from the movie Joe vs. the Volcano that I <3:

JOE
Do you believe in God?

PATRICIA
I believe in myself.

JOE
What's that mean?

PATRICIA
I have confidence in myself.

JOE
I've done a lot of soul
searching lately. I've been
asking myself some tough
questions. You know what I've
found out?

PATRICIA
What?

JOE
I have no interest in myself.
I think about myself, I get
bored out of my mind.

My father says almost the whole world's asleep. Everybody you know, everybody you see, everybody you talk to. He says only a few people are awake. And they live in a state of constant total amazement.

Well, I wasn't sure earlier, but now I'm as sure as I can be that LeTexier is not a believer. We are now in the sex psychology unit in her class and today there was a discussion on sexual orientation.

*sigh*

I am very concerned about the future of our world. I am very concerned about the impact secular psychology will have on the next generations. The Godless psychology. The whole homosexuality issue. People who are not Christians have no reason to think it wrong because it passes their man-made steps for morality.
*as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else, it's not wrong.

I hate how the world is so structureless. I hate how it is so chaotic when it's left with just itself.

She says "Define normal."
No one can do it because "normal" is another way of describing "what we are supposed to be." The sensible way of doing things. The normal way. Normal seems to imply that it has peace. Without knowing it, she is asking "what are we supposed to be like?" "what is the normal, peaceful way of behaving?" She doesn't give time for us to think or answer of course because the point of asking "what is normal?" is to say that normal doesn't exist. ...if you think about it, she is saying God doesn't exist. That there are so absolutes. And believing that and believing God at the same time is impossible. Absolutley. If only she knew believing there are no absolutes is absolutely wrong!

I created a blog! yay! lkj;haohfksjdncksdbshf!!!!*)

I registered for Web Content Development I today, for next quarter. I was signed up for Greek and Latin Elements of English, but it got canceled for some reason so I had to find another class. That class was only a level 100 anyway, so it's probably a good thing I'm not in it because I think it has to be at a least a level 101 to go toward an AA.

Here is my new schedule for Spring Quarter:
Inter. Karate MW 9-10am
First Aid and Safety 10-11am
Web Content Development I 12-1pm
MicroEconomics 1-2pm

I'm going to sew a skirt today, lol. I set up my mom's old sewing machine and everything. I bought the fabric and stuff a long time ago, but I never got around to actually doing it. I just cut out the pattern. The fabric is cotton so I put it in the dryer so it'll shrink. Sewing frustrates me like nothing else--that's why I'm doing this. My mom has been trying to help me read the pattern and I don't know what it is..something about following directions so carefully makes me so frustrated~! It's the same with cooking. grrrrrr.

Caleb decided that he's going to Taylor with me! I'm glad. I think he would like it more there than at Central. The other night I had a dream that I was at Taylor and meeting my roommate for the first time. It was weird--I saw her face so clearly. She was half black, half hispanic...and we totally clicked. We got along sooo well, it was perfect.
